Famed Iran actor Peyman Maadi starring in Iran Oscar-winning 'A Separation' stands before the camera in French film 'Police'.

The notable actor hailing from Iran took up a new acting challenge, appearing in French director Anne Fontaine's new offering which commenced filming in February.

The flick costars Maadi with French actors Virginie Efira and Omar Sy.

Peyman Maadi is the winner of the Silver Bear for Best Actor at Berlin Film Festival in 2011 for Oscar-winning 'A Separation'.

Written by the director and Claire Barré, the film focuses on three Paris police officers forced to accept an unusual mission to drive a stranger back to the border.

On the way to the airport, one of the police offers realizes their prisoner risks death if he returns to his country. Faced with an unbearable decision, she tries to convince her colleagues to let him go.
